“You are a Prometheus who gives fire to us humans”

In his letter to Beethoven, conductor Kent Nagano takes himself back to the Hamburg of the composer’s time – and draws many parallels to the present day. What seems certain for Nagano even then: “Your voice will continue to sound in the hearts of our descendants for a long time to come.”
