On 13 January 2017 Kent Nagano and the Philharmonic State Orchestra Hamburg will give their first concert in the Elbphilharmonie on the occasion of the opening festivities. Kent Nagano has assigned composing a piece for this special occasion to Jörg Widmann: “ARCHE”, a large scale piece for vocal soloists, organ, choirs and orchestra.

The concert will be broadcast live at 20:00 on German radio channel NDR Kultur.
