Kent Nagano and the OSM win JUNO Award for “Classical Album of the Year” (large ensemble) (June 2021)

Kent Nagano and the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal have won the JUNO Award in the category CLASSICAL ALBUM OF THE YEAR—LARGE ENSEMBLE for the recording GINASTERA—BERNSTEIN—MOUSSA. The recording was published in November 2020 on the Analekta label

Recorded live in concert at the Maison symphonique de Montréal in 2019 by the OSM under its now Conductor Emeritus Kent Nagano, the album brings together works performed by the Orchestra’s Concertmaster Andrew Wan such as Alberto Ginastera’s Violin concerto, Leonard Bernstein’s Serenade for Solo Violin, Strings, Harp and Percussion and the Violin Concerto “Adrano” by Samy Moussa, a world premiere recording and OSM-commissioned work.

Midori in Spain for three concerts (April 2021)

Midori will be a guest of the Orquestra Simfònica Camera Musicae for three concerts. In Tarragona, Lleida and Barcelona, she will perform Brahms Violin Concerto in D major with the orchestra under Tomàs Grau. All three concerts will take place in front of an audience.
