David Philip Hefti’s “Canto”, “(T)raum-Ze(n)it” and “Counterpoints on Come, Sweet Death” on CD (Dezember 2020)

The works “Canto”, “(T)raum-Ze(n)it” and “Counterpoints on Come, Sweet Death” by David Philip Hefti will be released on CD by NAXOS/Musiques Suisses on December 4. The album swiss clarinet music will feature three works by Hefti as well as works for clarinet by Jean-Luc Darbellay, Othmar Schoeck and August Walter.

David Philip Hefti’s „con fuoco“ in a radio concert (March 2020)

David Philip Hefti’s piece “con fuoco” String Quartet No. 4 originally supposed to be performed by the Amiryllis Quartett in the 6th Raderbergkonzert 2019/2020 on 17 March in the Deutschlandfunk Kammermusiksaal. But now there is no need to be without it, as Deutschlandfunk will broadcast the entire concert on the radio.READ MORE

Japan premiere of David Philip Hefti’s “Changements” in Tokyo (January 2020) – unfortunately cancelled

David Philip Heftis Changements celebrates its premiere in Japan on February 28th. Under the baton of conductor Cornelius Meister, who is closely associated with the composer, the atmospheric images for orchestra will be heard at Suntory Hall in Tokyo from the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra. The last time Cornelius Meister conducted the work was 2017 in Munich with the Bavarian State Orchestra.READ MORE

Performance of David Philip Hefti’s “Monumentum” near Munich (November 2019)

This coming weekend, David Philip Hefti’s Monumentum – music for string sextet will be performed by the Amaryllis Quartett and partners in concert near Munich, in Icking and Herrsching. The work was written in 2014 to a commission from the Moritzburg Festival, The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center New York and the Käthe Kollwitz House in Moritzburg. Swiss Premier of David Philip Hefti’s work “An durchsichtigen Fäden“ (October 2019)

On 29 October, the Amaryllis Quartett and Maria Riccarda Wesseling will play the Swiss premier of David Philip Hefti’s work An durchsichtigen Fäden – for mezzo soprano and string quartet to a poem by Kurt Aebli at the Oekolampad in Basel. The world premier of the work took place on 19 April 2018 in Lübeck, also performed by the Amaryllis Quartett and Maria Riccarda Wesseling. The work lasts about 30 minutes and is based on the poem “Endloser Anfang von allem” (“Endless beginning of everything”) by Kurt Aebli.
Before the concert, there will be an introduction with David Philip Hefti.
