Omer Meir Wellber: Premiere of Andrea Chenier (March 2017)

On 12 March Omer Meir Wellber conducted the new opera production at Bavarian State Opera, Andrea Chenier, by Umberto Giordano, staged by Philipp Stölzl. The title role is sung by Jonas Kaufmann, Anja Harteros performs as Maddalena di Coigny and Luca Salsi as Carlo Gérard.

On 26 March the opera in concert version will be guest at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris.

Further performances in Munich will take place on 15, 18, 22 and 30 March and on 2 April.
