On 27 September, German cellist Jan Vogler will have his London orchestral debut with Britten’s Symphony for Cello and Orchestra in the Royal Festival Hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Vladimir Jurowski.

On 21 and 22 September conductor Omer Meir Wellber will be guest in Leipzig/Germany and will stand at the rostrum of Gewandhaus orchestra, conducting works by Schnittke, Haydn, Mendelssohn and Schubert.

On 14 and 15 September, 90-years-old Herbert Blomstedt will be guest at the Danish National Symphony Orchestra in Copenhagen, conducting works by Mendelssohn: Hebrides Ouverture op. 26, as well as the Symphonies No. 4 a major op. 90 “Italian” and No. 3 a minor op. 56 “Scottish”.

On Saturday, 16 September, Kent Nagano will conduct the premiere of Richard Wagner’s Parsifal at the State Opera Hamburg, staged by Achim Freyer. It will be the first performance at the State Opera of Kent Nagano as General Music Director in season 2017/18.

On Friday, 8 September 2017, the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien under the baton of Cornelius Meister will perform the Austrian premiere of David Philip Hefti’s Moments lucides – resonances for orchestra at this year’s festival “Herbstgold” at Schloss Esterházy.
The concert will be braodcasted live on Ö1.
Before the concert, David Philip Hefti can be heard in a talk about “What is the revolutionary in music?” with Gerhard Krammer.

Spanish violinst Francisco Fullana will play together with Concordia Chamber Players on Saturday, 9 September in New York. On the program will be Dvorak’s String quintet in g major among others.

After Israeli conductor Omer Meir Wellber has conducted the Orchestre National de Lyon on 1 September in La Côte Saint-André as guest of Festival Berlioz, he is currently travelling to Israel to conduct the Raanana Symphonette on 9, 10 and 11 September as Music Director of the orchestra.
During his stay in Israel he will also visit the project Sarab in the Negev desert. Read here more about this unique project.
