Kent Nagano at the Hamburg State Opera – Digital Easter Program 2021 (April 2021)

The Hamburg State Opera is offering a digital Easter program on their homepage. From 2 April to 5 April 2021, selected productions from the repertoire of the State Opera will be available free of charge as video-on-demand. In addition, the Hamburg production La Passione, the St. Matthew Passion by Johann Sebastian Bach under the musical direction of Kent Nagano, will be shown on ARTE on 3 April 2021 and will be available in the Mediathek.

Under the musical direction of Kent Nagano and animated by Luis August Krawen, Arnold Schoenberg’s Pierrot lunaire with the Philharmonic State Orchestra Hamburg is available as a stream from the Hamburg State Opera on YouTube. Soloists are Anja Silja, Nicole Chevalier and Marie-Dominique Ryckmanns.

Last June, Kent Nagano was conducting the Munich Philharmonic; Marie-Luise Modersohn and Julian Shevlin played as the orchestra’s own soloists. The video production of this concert program will be available free of charge from January 16 (7 p.m.) to January 23 (7 p.m.) at mphil.de/stream.

Documentary “La seize saisons” with Kent Nagano on Radio Canada (December 2020)

On December 30, the documentary “La seize saisons” will air on Radio Canada. The production, which traces Kent Nagano’s final year as Music Director of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM), offers audiences an opportunity to celebrate his 16 seasons as Music Director of the institution.

With works by Bach, Fauré, Bruckner and Stefan Schäfer, General Music Director Kent Nagano and the Philharmonic State Orchestra can be enjoyed via livestream on December 26, 2020.
