Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra in Berlin (August 2023)

It was great to see the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra play in Berlin during their concert tour through Europe. The video below shows some impressions of this special event!

The Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra returns to Berlin to mark Ukrainian Independence Day on 24 August with the first performance outside the country of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony sung in Ukrainian. The orchestra will be joined by Ukrainian soloists and the newly establIshed Ukrainian Freedom Chorus, 40 singers made up from Ukrainian refugees and others resident in Berlin. The performance, which is free to the public, will be attended by Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the Federal President of Germany, in a public show of support for Ukraine’s fight for its freedom.
