General Music Director of Hamburg Kent Nagano will conduct his first open air concert on the Town Hall square in Hamburg on 25 August. “This concert shall be a musical gift to the citizens of our city”, says Kent Nagano.
On the program will be works by Brahms, Bernstein and Rachmaninow. The entry is free.
On 26 and 27 August four Academy concerts will take place in the Town Hall of Hamburg, also under the baton of Kent Nagano .

On 22, 23 and 24 June Kent Nagano will conduct the Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, whose Honorary Conductor he has been since 2006. On the program will be Mahler’s Symphony No. 2.
The concerts on 22 and 23 June will take place in the Philharmonie Berlin. On 24 June they will be guest in Philharmonie in Munich.

On Thursday, 21 June the opera performance of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly with conductor Omer Meir Wellber at Glyndebourne Festival can be watched as live stream at 6.30 p.m. GMT (7.30 p.m. CET). Omer Meir Wellber will conduct the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

The US-American conductor Kent Nagano will conduct the performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s Messa da Requiem on 28 June 2018 in Kloster Eberbach instead of the late Enoch zu Guttenberg during the Rheingau Music Festival.
Kent Nagano, General Music Director of the Hamburg State Opera and Chief Conductor of the Philharmonic State Orchestra Hamburg, has collaborated with the KlangVerwaltung Munich Orchestra several times over the last few years, including 2015 and 2016 at the Vorsprung-Festival of the AUDI Summer Concerts in Ingolstadt, where he was Artistic Director from 2014 until 2016.

On Friday, 15 June, conductor Omer Meir Wellber will conduct an open air concert together with Staatskapelle Dresden at Gläserne Manufaktur of Volkswagen in Dresden. Selected works of opera repertoire will be performed. Soloist will be the tenor Piotr Beczala.

On 8 June 2018, David Philip Hefti will be guest in Donaueschingen at the Boulanger Trio’s “Boulangerie”. This concert series connects concert and salon, traditional chamber music repertoire and contemporary music. David Philip Hefti’s works Lichter Hall – Trio No. 2 for Violin, Violoncello and Piano and Poème noctambule – for Violin and Piano will be performed. A talk between David Philip Hefti and the Boulanger Trio about Hefti’s works will also be part of the concert.
