Midori plays Bernsteins Serenade: WDR Concert-Stream (November 2023)

Midori just finished her US tour with the Festival Strings Lucerne having played in Atlanta, Iowa City, San Francisco and Santa Barbara, among others. Her next stop is Korea: she will perform Bartók’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in Seoul on November 25 .

In December, Midori will dedicate time to her organization MUSIC SHARING and the International Community Engagement Program (ICEP): together with three musicians who auditioned for this activity, she will travel to Laos and perform for various community institutions like schools, refugee camps, hospitals etc. Music Sharing brings musical performances to a different Asian country each year and focuses on helping people in difficult circumstances through cultural exchange.

 

In 2024, she will play Detlev Glanert’s Violin Concerto No. 2 “To the Immortal Beloved” first in Hanover (January 11) and in Istanbul (February 15). On February 19, Midori will perform Schumann’s Violin Concerto with the Solistes Europeenes in Luxembourg and in March she will go on tour with the Philharmonia Prague and Dvořák’s Violin Concerto in A minor and Symphony No. 8 in Prague, Viersen, Wiesbaden and Dresden.
