Midori at the 2020 Tanglewood Virtual Gala (July 2020)

Midori will celebrate the centenary of the legendary American violinist Isaac Stern, one of the most prominent artists of the 20th century, on July 23, 2020 at 02:00 Central European Summer Time (20:00, Estern Standard Time) at the 2020 Tanglewood Virtual Gala.

Stern’s long relationship with the Boston Symphony Orchestra began in January 1948 with his debut at Symphony Hall and the following summer at Tanglewood. For nearly 50 years he continued to perform regularly at Symphony Hall and Tanglewood.

Midori, along with Nancy Zhou, Vadim Gluzman, and other artists, will join musicians from around the world who have long been associated with Stern in celebrating this legendary artist with spoken word, musical performances, and archive material.
