On 21 and 22 September conductor Omer Meir Wellber will be guest in Leipzig/Germany and will stand at the rostrum of Gewandhaus orchestra, conducting works by Schnittke, Haydn, Mendelssohn and Schubert.

After Israeli conductor Omer Meir Wellber has conducted the Orchestre National de Lyon on 1 September in La Côte Saint-André as guest of Festival Berlioz, he is currently travelling to Israel to conduct the Raanana Symphonette on 9, 10 and 11 September as Music Director of the orchestra.
During his stay in Israel he will also visit the project Sarab in the Negev desert. Read here more about this unique project.

On Friday, May 26, conductor Omer Meir Wellber will lead the premiere of the new production of Massenet’s Werther at Teatro Massimo in Palermo with the Orchestra del Teatro Massimo, staged by Giorgia Guerra.
The performances after the premiere will be on May 27, 28, 30, 31 and on June 1.

On Sunday, 23 April 2017, an artist talk with conductor Omer Meir Wellber will take place in the Societätstheater in Dresden. Journalist Michael Ernst will present the event and lead through the discussion.
The conductor will mostly talk about his new book “Fear, risk and love – Moments with Mozart”, which was published in February 2017 at Austrian Ecowin publishing house. Co author Inge Kloepfer will also be present. The talk will be followed by a signing.

On 12 March Omer Meir Wellber conducted the new opera production at Bavarian State Opera, Andrea Chenier, by Umberto Giordano, staged by Philipp Stölzl. The title role is sung by Jonas Kaufmann, Anja Harteros performs as Maddalena di Coigny and Luca Salsi as Carlo Gérard.
On 3 and 4 February cellist Jan Vogler will play Bloch’s Schelomo with the Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice in Venice. Omer Meir Wellber will stand on the rostrum of the orchestra.
Furthermore Schumann’s Symphony No. 4 will be performed.
