Omer Meir Wellber: Revival performance of Mefistofele in Munich (April 2018)

On Sunday, 29 April, Omer Meir Wellber will conduct the revival performance of Boito’s Mefistofele at Bavarian State Opera in Munich, with Erwin Schrott in the title role. Further performances will take place on 3 and  6 May.

This production of Mefistofele celebrated its premiere in October 2015, staged by Roland Schwab, also under the baton of Omer Meir Wellber.

Omer Meir Wellber: Concert with the Rundfunk-Sinfonie-Orchester Berlin (April 2018)

Omer Meir Wellber conducts Verdi premiere at Bavarian State Opera (March 2018)

Verdi’s Les Vêpres siciliennes, staged by Antú Romero Nunes and conducted by Omer Meir Wellber, will celebrate its premiere on 11 March 2018 at the Bavarian State Opera. It will be Omer Meir Wellber’s first encounter with this rarely performed opera.

Omer Meir Wellber is Principal Guest Conductor at Semperoper Dresden (February 2018)

In 2018, the Semperoper is appointing conductor Omer Meir Wellber, who made his debut in Dresden in 2010 and has subsequently been responsible for numerous outstanding productions, as its Principal Guest Conductor. This has been announced today at the press conference presenting season 2018/19.

Omer Meir Wellber gives debut concerts with the Houston Symphony Orchestra (January 2018)

On 25, 27 and 28 January 2018 conductor Omer Meir Wellber will give his debut concerts with the Houston Symphony Orchestra. Together will violinist Simone Lamsma they will perform Britten’s violin concerto. Also on the program will be Mozart’s Ouverture of Idomeneo as well as Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4.

Omer Meir Wellber conducts Eugen Onegin at Semperoper Dresden (December 2017)

Conductor Omer Meir Wellber is currently guest at Semperoper Dresden for revival performances of Tchaikovsky’s Eugen Onegin. First revival performance will be on Tues, 19 December 2017. The production was premiered in June 2016, staged by Markus Bothe.

Omer Meir Wellber’s debut at SWR Symphony Orchestra (November 2017)

On 29 November and 1 December conductor Omer Meir Wellber will give his debut at SWR Symphony Orchestra in Stuttgart. Together they will present works by Debussy, Zimmermann and Schubert.

Omer Meir Wellber will also be present during the introduction talks on both concert nights at 19:00.
