On 25 May 2019, Omer Meir Wellber will conduct the premiere of Verdi’s Nabucco at the Semperoper Dresden as the orchestra’s Principal Guest Conductor.

As part of the production, the Semperoper shot a three-part Making-of Nabucco with director David Bösch, set designer Patrick Bannwart and conductor Omer Meir Wellber. Here you can watch the third part.
On 27 April Omer Meir Wellber leads the revival of Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier at the Semperoper Dresden. Further dates and information can be found here.

On 23 and 29 July, Omer Meir Wellber, designated Chief Conductor of the BBC Philharmonic, will conduct his debut concerts at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Principal Guest Conductor Omer Meir Wellber will conduct two symphonic concerts with the Staatskapelle Dresden and the Dresdner Kammerchor on 14 and 15 April 2019. On the program will be works by Haydn and Górecki.

On Thursday, 21 March, Omer Meir Wellber conducted his debut concert in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg with the NDR Elbphilharmonie orchestra, with works by Haydn, Schnitte and Tchaikovsky.

From Thursday, 21 March, Omer Meir Wellber will conduct concerts with the NDR Elbphilharmonie and will have his debut at the rostrum of the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. He and the orchestra will present works by Tchaikovsky, Haydn and Schnittke.

On 9 March, Omer Meir Wellber will conduct a symphonic concert with the Orchestra del Teatro Massimo in Palermo. On the program will be works by Rimsky-Korsakov and Prokofiev. Soloists are pianist Daniel Ciobanu as well as mezzo soprano Ekaterina Seergeva.

In January 2020 he will take up the position of Music Director of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo
Omer Meir Wellber conducts the revival performances of Wagner’s Tannhäuser on Sunday, 17 February at the Semperoper Dresden. Further performances take place on 2 and 10 March 2019.
Those will be Omer Meir Wellber’s first opera performances, since he became Principal Guest Conductor at the Semperoper in September 2018.
