Herrenchiemsee Festival
The Herrenchiemsee Festival is located in an area in Southern Germany between Munich and Salzburg. In 1873 King Ludwig II of Bavaria acquired the Herrenchiemsee Island as the location for his Royal Palace, an idealised copy of Versailles, where most of the concerts of the festival take place.
