On 5 June Hermann Bäumer conducted the premiere of Strauss' "Rosenkavalier", which was his first opera premiere since he took on his position as GMD last month. In the current season Bäumer was already praised for his first performance of Nancy van de Vate's "All quiet on the Western Front".
